What is the Kingdom of God?

During my 26 year relationship serving Jesus, I have heard many sermons and opinions on the Kingdom of God. The best scripture I have found that describes the Kingdom best is Romans 14:17, "For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy of the Holy Ghost" (KJV). Notice its 3 things, 1-righteousness 2-peace 3-joy in the Holy Ghost. Listen to what the Bible says righteousness is, Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away" (KJV). I have heard so many people misquote this scripture and say our sins are as filthy rags, not so, our sins are not good at all. However, Jesus went to the cross and give us forgiveness, and His righteousness, which is completely clean, and now because we accept Jesus as Saviour and Lord we are clean in HIM! Always remember that the Kingdom dwells in you! Because the Holy Spirit indwells in you. SO the Kingdom of God is His righteousness, peace and joy in you, all because of Jesus. If we have peace and joy inside you, then seek every day to be conscious of your righteousness in Christ, not your own righteousness, that is where so many makes the mistake. His righteousness is a gift given to you because of what Jesus did on the cross. Everything we ever do according to the Kingdom of God ALWAYS points back to the cross! Pursue Jesus first, spend time with Him and listen to His Word. When we do these things, we are seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all the things that you will ever need will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). It is the Father's pleasure to meet all your needs. God doesn't want us to pursue things, He wants us to seek Him and His Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. We sometimes think it what we eat or drink. Read the whole chapter of Romans 14 and understand Paul is trying to tell the Romans and us it's not that at all. I don't know about you but I want ALL things added to me. DO YOU? Then let's seek Him first and His Kingdom, and have His righteousness, His peace, and His joy!

Jesus is YOUR HIGH PREIST!!!

To go along with the theme I have been preaching lately about living in the Kingdoms Perspective I want to speak today about Jesus being your High Priest. In the Old Testament the people would bring there sacrifices to the priest once a year and that would take care of them until the next year when they brought their next sacrifice. However, in the New Testament Jesus becomes our (the Christian's) sacrifice forever and one time. It has always amazed me how many people will accept Jesus as their Saviour and then after being around church and many religious people think that their works will kept them saved. I put ALL my trust on Jesus being my High Priest and MY perfect sacrifice, one time (because Jesus only had to die once). If you have not noticed there are no perfect people, including YOU & ME. We all have issues that we deal with, but let me share with you how I have been dealing with my issues here lately. 1 Corinthians 4:7 But we (Christians) have this treasure in jars of clay (our bodies) to show this all surpassing power from God (Jesus & the Holy Spirit) and not from us. Did you get that, we can't do it on our own but with Jesus and the Holy Spirit we can do ALL things!!!! When you feel like you can't do something how about calling on Jesus to help you. No matter what it is He can and WILL help you. Read Hebrews 4:16!

Jesus clears the air

While doing my daily Bible reading, I came across a interesting scripture in John 3:12-25. Jesus had went to Capernaum with his family because it was time for the Jewish Passover. They stayed a few days, and when Jesus went into the temple courts, he found found men trying to run a business in a special place according to Jesus (notice the others there did not find it special). Jesus made them leave, then the Jews, asked a question, "What authority do you have to do this?" Then Jesus' answer was "Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days". Jesus was talking about himself but the religious people missed it. Then they said, "it took 46 years to build this, and you can raise it up in 3 days". After Jesus had died and rose again, the disciples remember Jesus saying this and they believed the scriptures. Then many saw the miracles Jesus was doing and they believed as well. Then John 2:24-25 popped out at me, "But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man."
1-When Jesus is in a place it is very special
2-Jesus has the authority in all things
3-It's all about Jesus, and what He did to save us as Christians
4-Jesus knows us and nothing surprises Him about us when we fail
SO WHEN ARE WE GOING TO QUIT TRYING TO WORK OUR WAY IN THE KINGDOM, WHEN JESUS' BLOOD COVERS ALL OUR SINS, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE!!! On the cross Jesus said, "It is finished!!!! PERIOD!!! Thank you Jesus for you righteousness, because ours is like dirty rags!!
